..this was one skittish crab we chased around unsuccessfully with a macro lens mounted to a dslr, after a few feet, we gave up and used the p&s instead.. it was about the size of a thumbnail.. can’t say what type of crab it was though.. 🙂

well, there were holes in the sand already, so we were looking down while walking so we won’t step on anything weird.. and there he was, scurrying away.. 🙂

wow. that’s sweet. are those its eyes looking straight up? must be hard to get around. although it looks like it can move them… if those are the eyes 🙂

Him “walking that ridge” really makes the shot for me. With the shadow behind him, we can make him out more clearly. Excellent capture. Nice lines and texture, amazing what can be done!

I did that as well last summer chasing a tiny crab…. and every pic I shot it just walked outside the focus…. This one is really nice!
