..the silent shooting mode of the 5dmkiii couldv’e been handy while shooting this quiet place, but i guess mirror slaps pale in comparison to the ripping sound of velcro of a camera bag.. 😀
The Cathedral of Saint Paul (informally known as Saint Paul’s Cathedral) is the mother church of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Birmingham in Alabama in Birmingham, Alabama. Designed by Chicago architect Adolphus Druiding, the Victorian Gothic-style brick building was completed as a parish church in 1893. It was elevated to Cathedral status with the creation of the Diocese of Birmingham in 1969. (wiki)

I am such a fan of your fisheye shots. This is brilliant!
This captured the large room very well!
Absolute fabulous. I love it that there only few people there. Must have been hard to wait until most of them were gone? I googled for images of the church. to see the outside. You picture is showing at the 5th row 🙂 Impressive building. Love your fish-eye shots very much!
A beautiful interior. Excellent!
HDR, fisfh-eye and church because I need to concentrate. Great job!
The circular image works extra well with this setting with the windows on either side. Excellent shot. Interesting history of this beautiful place.
I agree 100%, nothing beats the sound from a very wide velcro. Great shot here!
An authentic fisheye!
Love the warm colors and those glowing stain glass windows.
Fantastic. Love the colors in the windows. Cough at the right time and no one will notice the camera noise. Good luck on Photo Friday,
works great with a fisheye
a perfect fit
would love to see this image without eye fish effect . I like this solitary man in a church ! with fish effect it gets a different funny meaning !
Overwhelming strong image!
