For me the landscape version works better here even though it lacks the additional element of the beach. The portrait version “compresses” the pier a bit too much in comparison.
so dark and moody. you made this pier look somewhat haunted. =) nice!
This is a hard one, Rian. The landscape version emphasizes the length of the pier and the vanishing-point perspective. But the portrait version emphasizes the height and the vanishing point. I like them both!
Indeed it looks haunted ! Nice effect you achieved!
I like them both. If the portrait version didn’t have the beach (with the footprints) then hands-down I’d like the landscape better. Both are excellent! I like the dreamy effect of the water.
Wow the size of this one is overwhelming! Really cool how those poles seem to vanish into oblivion.
This structure takes on a surreal feel with the smooth water surface beneath it. The sharp detail and excellent processing aid this mood. A very strong, effective image.
stunning!
Super compo . Gloomy mood 😉
WoW!! Great lines. It goes forever!!
Bonsoir,
A nice composition..Beautiful perspective..Bravo!
You bring us to another world, the world where time doesn’t exist anymore as mentioned Lasiate. Both well done!
Both well done as i said, but i prefer the portrait version because of the balance of the lines in the composition.
Love the stillness of this image…the composition..the balance.
great texture.
they are both wonderful, i really like silvery soft black and whites 🙂
Me gusta mucho la perspectiva y el tratamiento que va degradando la luz. Muy buenos tonos. Saludos.
This is sensational…dark and dreamy.
Perfect.
i prefer the top one. lovely mood in both of them though.
Great composition! I love the b&w white with the grain-nice touch and great atmosphere here.
A feeling of misterious along the bridge …. good work !

This is great. Dark and moody. I DEFINITELY like the vertical version best! By a lot! Gorgeous.
Just beautiful, no noise, paradize, pure photograpy

Dramatique à souhait.
un pont vers l’éternité . Très beau cadrage qui accentue l’effet
