queen mary
..walked quite a bit to get this shot.. whew..
RMS Queen Mary is a retired ocean liner that sailed the North Atlantic Ocean from 1936 to 1967 for the Cunard Line (then Cunard-White Star when the vessel entered service). Built by John Brown and Company, Clydebank, Scotland, she was designed to be the first of Cunard’s planned two-ship weekly express service from Southampton to Cherbourg to New York, in answer to the mainland European superliners of the late 1920s and early 1930s. After their release from World War II troop transport duties, Queen Mary and her running mate RMS Queen Elizabeth commenced this two-ship service and continued it for two decades until Queen Mary’s retirement in 1967. The ship is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and is permanently berthed in Long Beach, California serving as a museum ship and hotel. Queen Mary celebrated the 70th anniversary of her launch in both Clydebank and Long Beach during 2004, and the 70th anniversary of her maiden voyage in 2006. She was the flagship of the Cunard Line from 1936 until 1945 when she was replaced in this role by Queen Elizabeth. (wiki)
..the other side of this place..
..my wife’s cousin, enjoying a day at the beach..
..in shooting tourist traps, when you don’t want people to clutter your shot, you usually do one of these:
- wake up late / early and shoot when no one’s there
- shoot a bunch of shots and do some “magic” in photoshop
- painstakingly clone them out one by one
..in this case, i just left the scene alone and pressed the shutter..
..start them early.. otakus in the making.. they’re cosplaying Inuyasha

..here’s Trigun’s Nicholas D. Wolfwood, his death scene was quite touching..
Known for its Space Western theme, Trigun is about a man named “Vash the Stampede” and the twoBernardelli Insurance Society employees who follow him around in order to minimize the damages inevitably caused by his appearance. Most of the damage attributed to Vash is actually caused by bounty hunters in pursuit of the “60,000,000,000$” (sixty billion “double dollars”) bounty on Vash’s head for the destruction of the city of July. However, he cannot remember the incident clearly due to his amnesia. Throughout his travels, Vash tries to save lives using non-lethal force. He is occasionally joined by a priest, Nicholas D. Wolfwood, who, like Vash, is a superb gunfighter with a mysterious past.
