..too bad this was closed when we went there, but it was still a good photo op.. 🙂
Lafayette No. One is known as the “Anne Rice Cemetery†to many, because the author has set a number of scenes from both her “Mayfair Witches†and “Vampire†novels there. When the movie “Interview With The Vampire†was filmed, the production company constructed a plywood “tomb†in an empty corner of the cemetery because a normal tomb was obviously too small to shoot Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise sitting inside it! Better outside than inside ! 😉
Agree here, better to be stuck on the outside than the inside… nice
oh boy …. too creepy for me to go into!
I would love to go for a walk in there! Excellent shot and mood!
Seems to be in need of some repair
Your image of it is delicate and lovely Rian.
The fancy iron work makes a fine picture even if closed. Nice shot.
It is not sad, but cool ;)) I like this compo . And I like cemeteries too …why not inside ??? ha ha
The gates remind me of a few cemeteries that I visited in Wisconsin.
It’s a different look than normal for cemetery shots… I like it!
Bonito encuadre.
how awesome, the anne rice cemetery … that’s a little bit of rock n’ roll trivia for ya… is the plywood tomb still there? nice shot!!
The mausoleum necessity for Louisianna is a problem for me. I don’t want put in one of those. Aren’t you glad I shared? lol
Louisiana. Always trust your Safari browser spell checker:-)
Really cool! Love the ornate gate.
closed! how can they close a cemetary? they are open all the time here.
you got a great shot from outside the gate though – especially like the tree and the moody sky.
I don’t think I’ve seen a cemetery like that before with all the raised tombs. Cool.
Agree with crash, it does look creepy.
Great shot. Nice story. This does seem like a fun place to roam with a camera. For all those expensive looking tombs, that walkway could use some work.
this reminds me of the gate of strawberry fields! 🙂
