..don’t know much about boats or ships, all i know was that this one was undergoing repair back when i was in philly, volunteers were restoring this ship.. doesn’t look seaworthy yet.. maybe riverworthy..
..i’ve been doing some major surfing this weekend, and i happened to click on Peter Lik’s website.. to me, he strikes me as the Steve Irwin of landscape photography.. lol.. check it out and let his awesome photos speak for itself..

Looks like they should be scrubbing something else first. ๐ Great capture with the city in the background.
wow wow great shot Rian!! love the perspective, and the sky, oh the sky!
lovely image…very impressive and vibrant sky color!
As always, your angles are superb! Lovely tones here and colors of the sky!
Wow! Great colors, composition and processing. Very good picture!
great blues and lovely composition. I’d love to take one of these out to sea. Must check the site you recommended.
This old gal is due for a barnacle scrub and a new coat of paint. Nice find and shot. Peter is an awesome photographer…no two ways about that.
Great angle how you captured both the sky and the sea in this so nicely.
for me perfect framing … well done
A great looking “tall” ship. I can’t imagine how much work and TLC it would take to totally restore this size of ship. Very nice angle for your shot. Nice one.
First class composition and perspective. Needs a little TLC, but I bet the old girl scrubs up nicely. A lovely photograph
Oh, followed your link and now I feel completely inferior, inadequate, inconsequential and any other work beginning wit ‘in’, the photographs are beyond belief!
I don’t know much about boats either, but I’m always drawn to images like this. Gorgeous capture.
Nice angle, great ship and perfect sky.
great light and composition. I like the foreshortening that happens from being so close.
Wonderful angle Rian !! who can navigate a boat like this! It must be great fun!
Sure she will be a beauty again! but is require quite some work….
We like your angle and the depth in the colors – nice!
And thanks for the link; really worth a second look!
I always thought it would be so cool to be able to take off and sail around the world.
This old ship needs for a barnacle scrub and a new coat of paint. Nice composition
Waow…nice angle and good composition, Rian. I love blue atmosphere. Regard From Yogyakarta Indonesia.
nice lines here. especially like that the bow extends out of the frame. gives the image a real dynamic feeling.
umm maybe that’s not called the bow – maybe that’s the front boom. anyway i hope you know what i mean.
arr.. *a-la pirate* we obviously are landlubbers.. lol! ๐
thanks! ๐
Great lines and great blues. Love seeing the city in the background
To my untrained eye it looks like there is a lot of work left to do!!
Nice photo.
Cool shot mate!
What a beautiful capture and ship. I am glad it is getting the care it deserves!
Nice lighting and colors, the white being at the limit but not burnt. However I’m not sure I would sail on it ๐
Beautiful rich colors and great angle.. I’d love to sail a boat like that
Really like the richness of the blues, abundance of light, and lines crisscrossing all over the ship.
