..this here’s looking up the north face of the empire state building..
..seeing that soccer is not among the top sports played in north america (i just googled it), i guess it’s wise to bring the game to the crowd for them to appreciate it..
..moving on, i posted a link a few days ago about “participating” in the NYPH (NY Photo Festival) 2009.. well, i got an email a while ago and one of my images were shown via slideshow and they took a picture of it and sent it to me.. yay! (you’ll have to excuse me, i get pleased easily.. ;D )

..what better way for a seasonal easter sunday post than this shot of the saint patrick’s cathedral a la moleman..
..amazing what a few steps and a different angle could do to change how an image looks.. the reason why i had this one tilted so high up is because of the scaffolding surrounding the cathedral, it just doesn’t look right..so for this one, i tried covering it up with light trails which seemed to do the trick.. (i guess)
scent back to trail
..if you look at THIS.. walk around to the right.. take a few steps.. turn right again.. take a few steps again.. turn around.. voila! you’ll see this.. the bermuda perfumery..

..here’s the bling-bling district.. shot wide open, hand held with ultra high iso, in the middle of the street.. colors are kind of blah so opted for the black and white..
The Diamond District is an area of New York City located on West 47th Street between Fifth Avenue and Sixth Avenue (Avenue of the Americas) in midtown Manhattan, within walking distance of many New York attractions. It is located one block south of Rockefeller Center, three blocks south of Radio City Music Hall (along the Avenue of the Americas), three blocks south of St Patrick’s Cathedral (along Fifth Avenue), and one block east of the Broadway Theater District. The Plaza Arcade, lined with shops, connects the street to Rockefeller Center.
The district was created when dealers moved north from an earlier district near Canal Street and the Bowery that was created in the 1920s, and from a second district located in the Financial District, near the intersection of Fulton and Nassau Streets, which started in 1931. The move uptown started in 1941. The district grew in importance when the German Nazis invaded the Netherlands and Belgium, forcing thousands of Orthodox Jews in the diamond business to flee Antwerp and Amsterdam and settle in New York City. Most of them remained after World War II, and remain a dominant influence in the Diamond District… (wiki)

..this here’s the arlington street church..
Arlington Street Church is a Unitarian Universalist church located in Boston, Massachusetts. Founded in 1729 as the “Church of the Presbyterian Strangers”, it became independent in 1787, taking on a Congregational model. In 1803, it called William Ellery Channing as its minister who defined “Unitarian Christianity” and launched the Unitarian movement, making the Arlington Street Church one of the first to define itself as Unitarian. On May 17, 2004, the church was the site of the first state-sanctioned same-sex marriage in the United States. (more)

in a pinch
..while shooting this one, a guy looking like a state trooper approached me and asked if i was with some newspaper or something like that (i guess, you’d have to have a permit for that sort of stuff).. eventually i convinced him that i was just some tourist going around the city.. so i got the usual tourist treatment with the obligatory tour + lecture.. 😀

..this here’s 432 broome street (as seen from google street view).. i’ve passed this place multiple times and often see bustling activity going on inside, however, this time, the door was closed and the mural looked good, so i snapped away.. as it turns out (according to google), this establishment is owned by Josh Hadar of Hadar Metal Designs.. and they make pretty wicked bikes.. check it out here..
..a graffiti-laden ATM somewhere off SoHo…
Answers.com Katsu – (Japanese). In Japanese zen, an expletive uttered by one who has had a breakthrough experience, such as solving a kÅan or realizing enlightenment (bodhi; satori). In ordinary usage, it is a verb meaning ‘to win’ or ‘to gain dominance over’. There is also another word pronounced ‘katsu’ that occurs in Zen literature represented by a different Chinese character which means simply ‘to shout’.
..John Stewart from The Daily Show always ends his show with “your moment of zen”.. well, every payday for me is a moment of zen.. lol! and i end every atm transaction with an expletive.. haha..
..it’s a friday.. too bad the giants aren’t in the superbowl.. tsk3..
